The PRBB has a critical mass of 1400 people from 55 different countries (more than 40 % are international members), an accumulated R&D budget of approximately 80 M € per year and cutting-edge scientific equipment. The organisation model of the PRBB is cooperative, with common spaces that facilitate the interrelationship between the centres as well as sharing advanced scientific-technical services. The PRBB is physically and institutionally connected with the Hospital del Mar (see description of PSMAR).
